Plantae Novae Hispaniae of Sésse and Mocino is essentially without plates, but in the text references are made to illustrations (Fl. Mex. Ic. or Ic. only followed by a number. The illustrations were long lost but are now preserved as the Torner collection at the Hunt institute for botanical documentation.
